Beehive gift to Fig Tree Pocket School
Fig Tree Pocket State School, in Brisbane’s inner west, recently celebrated it’s 150th birthday!
With our new land estate The Reserve under construction only 500 metres away we were privileged to be able to participate in the celebrations.
In keeping with our aim to always better our communities, Chapter Two commissioned the relocation of a native beehive from The Reserve to Fig Tree Pocket State School, as a birthday gift to the school.
The delicate operation involved several beekeepers and handlers and saw the hive and bees safely and successfully relocated to an awaiting crowd of excited school children, with the bees and hive now forming part of the school’s environment learning programs.
